What an Awesome Millrosie Friends Xmas breakup

We had such a wonderful fun day with such wonderful friends
Some of the awesome gifts that were in the xmas swap,i think all but one did this swap this year and it was so much fun, dont think naughty santa was very well liked in the end, lol.
As usual lots of pics were taken, lol,i took 111 pictures ,lol.

The fun was carried over at lunch time and afternoon tea in the lovely millrose cafe and how lovely to have our gorgeous friend Chez down for this meeting and in her usual style caused lots of mischief, lol
Now they wouldnt be in it to do bad santa with their meals and swap their meals 3 places to the left, lol, bad santa got kicked out, lol.
These ladies are amazing with their swaps so much inspiration.
Thankyou ladies for a fun filled day full of laughter and mischief, these meetings leave you on a high for days.
Looking forward to the next one, till then my friends.

Dates of meetings for next year and the swaps

We had been asked for the dates of our meetings for next year as a couple of ladies want to plan their holidays around our Millrosie Friends blogger meetings,so here they are.

21st February-- heart swap, can be anything heart shaped or with a heart or heart patterned fabric.

16th May --  designer Gail Pan so any one of Gails pretty designs.

29th  August --- A covered  journal

14th November --- 12" xmas mini quilt

So i hope this helps everyone for next years holiday planning and i will list this on the side bar,at the bottom so we dont get muddled up with this years meetings and swaps.

Good Morning Mill Rosie Friends

The Gisborne Girls thought that you may like to join us in a bit of a challenge with a touch of fun.
The Gisborne Quilters
Great Shirt Challenge
Idea lovingly stolen from the
Sunbury Stitchers and Quilters Group
(With permission of course)
To be in this challenge you will need GUTS, STAMINA, DETERMINATION followed by a touch of IMAGINATION
And not forgetting 6 X 100% Cotton Shirts. These shirts will be cut up into 6 pieces and then distributed amongst the willing participants.
  1.        Use as much shirt fabric as you can for the front of the quilt.
  2.        If you wish you may add ONE other fabric of your choice to help tie the shirt fabrics together – the amounts can be as much or as little as you want.
  3.        There is to be no dyeing of fabrics...although you may reverse the shirt fabric if you prefer the other side.
  4.        Backing will be a fabric of your choice.
  5.        Binding will be a fabric of your choice.
  6.        Under no circumstances are men to be harmed in any way when sourcing your shirt fabric. (Remember ladies you can look, bribe or barter  but don’t touch)
  7.        You will have 12 months to complete this task (Starting on the 25th of August 2014 and the end date to show your creation will be the 29th of August for The Mill Rosie Friends)

So if you would like to join in the fun please have your shirts with you at the August Mill Rosie Meet where we will cut them up and then randomly disperse them amongst the players.
Any questions please contact either Tracee or Marg
